India's Bharti to invest 2.5 bln usd in deal with Wal-Mart

NEW DELHI (XFN-ASIA) - Mobile phone firm Bharti Enterprises, which aims to

start a chain of retail stores in India with US-based Wal-Mart, said it will

invest up to 2.5 bln usd in the project by 2015.

Inditex's Ortega in 1 bln eur East Europe investment project - report

MADRID (AFX) - Industria de Diseno Textil SA chairman Amancio Ortega has

formed a consortium with various savings banks and investment funds to invest

some 1 bln eur in construction projects in Eastern Europe, Expansion reported,

citing unnamed sources with knowledge of the project.

Japan's JVC cuts FY profit forecast on weak sales of display products

TOKYO (XFN-ASIA) - Victor Co of Japan (JVC) has lowered its forecast of net

profit for the fiscal year ending March 31 to nil from 2 bln yen because of weak

sales of its display products in North America and a decline in sales by its

software and media business, JVC said.

board will propose at the next company AGM to reappoint president and CEO Gerard
