Stockholm shares slightly higher early afternoon led by Ericsson, SSAB

STOCKHOLM (AFX) - Shares were slightly higher early afternoon led by Ericsson, Scania, Electrolux, and SSAB, brokers said.

At 1.20 pm, the OMX Stockholm index was up 0.75 pct at 398.85, and the OMX Stockholm 30 up 0.81 pct at 1,224.48. Turnover was 14.235 bln skr.

Ericsson B was up 1.37 pct at 25.95 on bargain hunting after recent sharp losses, and after the CEO Carl-Henric Svanberg said he sees good development in the Chinese market.

SSAB A was up 2.08 pct at 196.50 with the company remaining in focus following recent takeover activity in the steel sector.

Scania B was up 1.12 pct at 544. Dagens Industri reported today that the company's Latin American production facilities are running at full capacity amid strong demand.

Volvo B was also up 0.55 pct at 549.

Elsewhere in the market Electrolux B was up 2.73 pct at 169.50, Boliden up 0.50 pct at 150.50, and Hennes & Mauritz B up 0.53 pct at 377.50.
