AstraZeneca says ARISE phase III trial unsuccessful, co evaluating data

LONDON (AFX) - AstraZeneca PLC said the first results from a phase III clinical outcomes trial which studied AGI-1067, an investigational anti-atherosclerotic agent, show the trial did not meet its primary endpoint, and it will decide whether to continue collaborating with AtheroGenics Inc on the agent after a full analysis.
