Schering-Plough gets Japan OK for Zetia |

KENILWORTH, N.J. (AP) - Drug maker Schering-Plough Inc. on Wednesday said it received Japanese marketing approval for its cholesterol-lowering drug Zetia.Zetia will be co-marketed in Japan with Bayer Yakuhin Ltd., Schering-Plough said.Zetia will not become available in Japan until National Health Insurance Reimbursement price listing.Schering-Plough received approval from the Food and Drug administration for Zetia in 2002, and the medication has been approved in 90 countries worldwide.Shares rose 40 cents to close at $28.55 on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
