BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - Full-scale commercial production at the Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co, a joint venture between Mazda, Ford and a Chinese partner, will begin soon, said Mei-Wei Cheng, vice president of Ford Motor Co and chairman and CEO of Ford Motor China.'The official start of volume production at the Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co will come very soon, and vehicle production at the new Nanjing facility -- Changan Ford Mazda Auto Co -- will begin before the end of the year,' he said.In a statement released at a Shanghai auto industry forum, Cheng said an 'all new' Ford small car will be produced at Changan Ford Mazda Auto Co's Nanjing plant in 2008.
