China Q1 fixed-asset investment up 23.7 pct yr-on-year - stats bureau

BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - China's fixed-asset investment rose 23.7 pct in the first three months of the year, the National Bureau of Statistics said.

Urban fixed-asset investment rose 25.3 pct year-on-year in the quarter, while the rural fixed-asset investment was up 16.7 pct, the agency said.

In March, urban fixed-asset investment was up 26.8 pct year-on-year, the bureau said.

China's fixed-asset investment rose 23.4 pct in the two months to February to 653.5 bln yuan.
