PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Share prices ended marginally lower, tracking US markets and well off their intraday low as Schneider Electric surged almost 5 pct after consensus-busting first quarter sales, dealers said.A surprise takeover bid for Eiffage by Spain's Sacyr Vallehermoso added some spice to proceedings.The CAC-40 index ended down 6.91 or 0.12 pct at 5,829.04 on total volume of 7.9 bln eur.On the Matif, April CAC-40 futures were trading down 9 at 5,829.5.The euro was at 1.3604 usd compared with 1.3580 usd late yesterday.tfn.paris@thomson.commrg/lamCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
