Boeing gets $295M CIT order for 737s |

SEATTLE (AP) - CIT Aerospace has ordered five additional narrow-bodied Boeing 737-700s, valued at about $295 million at list prices, Boeing Co. said Thursday.CIT Aerospace is a business unit of CIT Group Inc., a New York-based financial services company. The aerospace unit provides financing to the industry and leases business and commercial planes.Boeing said it has already delivered 31 of the single-aisle 737s to CIT, and has 10 more on order. CIT has also ordered five of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner, the long-range, mid-sized plane scheduled to make its first flight later this year, with entry into service in 2008.Shares of Boeing dipped 57 cents to $93.31 on trading on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
