BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AFX) - President Hugo Chavez said Venezuela intends to buy more Argentine bonds, continuing a financial assistance policy, Argentine media reported.'We are going to continue buying more bonds from Argentina,' Chavez told reporters late Thursday after meeting Argentine President Nestor Kirchner on the sidelines of a Mercosur trade summit in Brazil.Since 2004, Venezuela has bought about US$3.3 billion (euro2.5 billion) in bonds issued by the Argentine government.Reports said the two presidents also struck bilateral trade agreements providing for the continued import of Venezuela fuel oil in exchange for Argentine farm machinery.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
