PARIS (Thomson Financial) - French insurer April Group said it has established a presence in Canada with the acquisition of the two Quebec-based brokers Escapade Travel Insurance and Dave Rochon Insurance.The purchase price was not disclosed.Escapade is a broker specialised in short- and long-term personal travel insurance. In 2006, it had profit of 127,000 cad on revenue of 520,000 and employed five people, April said.Montreal-based Dave Rochon, established in 1957, is a wholesale broker specialising in property and casualty impaired risks for personal and company customers.Last year revenues reached 4.14 mln eur, generating profit of 0.81 mln cad.
