Network 3 to unveil 4 new mobiles for Christmas |

UK network 3, which is owned by Hong Kong conglomerate Hutchison Whampoa, said on Monday that it would sell four new video mobiles to commemorate with this year’s Christmas. They include pink, black and silver LG U880 handsets, Motorola's RAZR V3x and Nokia's latest N70 phones and 6280 series phones.
Nokia's N70, reportedly the smallest 3G smartphone available in the market, will hit the shops by the end of October.
The pink handsets of Motorola, LG and Nokia are to be targetted at ladies and consumers with alternate sexual orientation.
During the announcement, Gareth Jones, Chief Operating Officer of 3 UK said: "3 understands the important part handsets play in the customer experience and with our Christmas range we're offering the best video mobiles in the UK. All of these handsets support 3's full range of video mobile content and services."
The company will unveil its strategy for the Christmas season on Tuesday. Retail prices were also not yet divulged.
Some of the unique features of each of the phones are given below.
LG U880 is a super-thin triband which will be offered in three colours of black, silver and pink. Its clamshell design will incorporate a 1.3 megapixel camera and expandable internal memory of 80 MB. Its main display will support 262k colours (65k for sub display) with the colour screen measuring 2.0”. There's also a built in speaker phone, Bluetooth support and Windows Media offering playback of both audio and video.
Nokia 6280 has a sliding keyboard, built-in 2 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom and integrated flash, a QVGA 262, video messaging, 144 colour display, download video clips and Quickplay video streaming. The quadband phone would support the entire range of 3's communications and entertainment services.
Motorola RAZR V3x is a slim-line form supporting a full range of 3G services. Its 2.2" main display supports 262k colours. It has a 1.0" colour sub display for video calls. The phone comes with a two megapixel cameras on board. They handsets are available in two colours of cosmic blue and liquorice black.
Nokia N70 is going to be 3's first two megapixel phone. Based on Nokia 6680, it offers video calling, integrated flash, a built-in FM tuner, Bluetooth and support for Visual Radio. The 2 megapixel camera phone gives you a zoom of up to 20x digital smooth, which is viewable on a large 2.1" 262k colour screen.
