WARSAW (Thomson Financial) - Emerging markets-dedicated funds saw their second best inflows ever in the week ending July 18, after setting their all-time high just the previous week, reports by brokerages UniCredit (CA IB) and DM BZ WBK in Warsaw showed.

Inflows to emerging markets equity funds exceeded outflows by 3.3 bln usd, 10 pct less than last week. More than half of this week's net inflows - a record high of 1.8 bln usd - went to funds dedicated to Asia ex-Japan.

Latin America-dedicated funds extended their streak of positive inflows to 18 straight weeks, attracting another 442 mln usd, while the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) drew almost 180 mln.

'With three consecutive weeks of inflows EMEA funds are enjoying the longest positive streak this year,' DM BZ WBK report said.

Emerging Europe Regional funds, the largest international group committed to Poland, had an inflow of 93 mln usd. According to the brokerages' estimates, Polish equity market saw a net inflow of around 25 mln usd, compared to 43 mln a week earlier, but its year-to-date balance is still 199 mln usd in the red.
