Strabag says IPO will go ahead as planned in October |

VIENNA (Thomson Financial) - Austrian construction company Strabag AG said it has no plans to defer its initial public offering for a second time and that the listing will go ahead as planned in October.'We sought advice from our underwriter whether or not it would be wise to continue with the Strabag IPO planned for October considering the current difficult market situation, and the listing will still take place as planned in the middle of October,' a spokesman for Strabag told the Austrian daily WirtschaftBlatt.Strabag had deferred its original bln eur listing planned for May 2007 after the Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska bought a 30 pct stake in the company, which is currently listed in Frankfurt.fiona.flanagan@thomson.comff/cm2COPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
