Italy Dec industrial sales up 2.7 pct yr-on-yr, orders up 3.4 pct

ROME (AFX) - Italian industrial sales rose 2.7 pct year-on-year in December, while orders increased 3.4 pct, the statistics office ISTAT said.

Domestic sales rose 1.6 pct year-on-year and foreign ones increased 5.3 pct, while domestic orders increased 1.4 pct and orders from abroad rose 7.5 pct.

On an adjusted basis, industrial sales also rose 2.7 pct in December from November, while orders rose 0.7 pct.

In 2006, industrial sales rose 8.3 pct from 2005 and orders rose 10.7 pct.
