Bentley OK to start India Nasulin study |

EXETER, N.H. (AP) - Specialty drug maker Bentley Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Tuesday that regulators in India will allow a mid-stage clinical trial to study the use of insulin that is inhaled up the nose.The company said the Drug Controller General of India allowed the start of a Phase II study for Nasulin intranasal insulin. The contract research organization Clinigene, a unit of Bentley marketing partner Biocon Ltd., will conduct the trial and Cardinal Health will make clinical supplies for Bentley under contract.The study will begin in March and should be completed before the end of the year.Bentley shares fell 2 cents to $8.96 in afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
