Jury awards P&G $19.25M in Amway lawsuit

CINCINNATI (AP) - Consumer products company Procter & Gamble Co. said Monday it won a jury trial against four Amway distributors for spreading false rumors about the company to advance their own business.

Procter & Gamble said the jury awarded it $19.25 million March 16 in Salt Lake City.

The company's shares fell 1 cent to $61.97 in electronic aftermarket trading. During regular trading hours on the New York Stock Exchange, the shares rose 37 cents to close at $61.98.
