DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - Movie Gallery Inc. said Monday it will launch an online video rental service by late this year, complementing its brick-and-mortar retail business.The company also said it will extend its movie kiosk program, which operates movie vending machines in supermarkets, malls and other areas. Movie Gallery said it plans to roll out about 200 more units, on top of the 74 it currently has operating under the Hollywood Video brand, during 2007.'While we firmly believe that our retail brick and mortar stores will remain the foundation of our business, over the past three years we have been diligently pursuing alternative delivery platforms to further complement our base business,' Chairman, President and Chief Executive Joe Malugen said in a statement.The online video rental service will begin in mid-to-late 2007, the company said.
