BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - Car sales by Honda Motor Co's two joint ventures in China -- Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co Ltd and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co Ltd -- are expected to rise to 400,000 units this year, Hyogo Atsuyoshi, head of Honda's China operations, told a media conference here.He did not provide more details on the projected sales increase.The two ventures sold a record 323,469 automobiles in China in 2006, up 25.9 pct from the year earlier.Guangzhou Honda's executive vice president Fu Shoujie also told the conference that the venture plans to export 40,000 sedans this year. It currently assembles mainly Honda's Accord, City, Odyssey and Fit models.lilian.wu@xfn.com
