Alstom wins order from SNCF for 31 tram-trains at 4-5 mln eur each - report |

PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Alstom has won an order from French train operator SNCF to supply trams that can also run on train tracks, La Tribune reported citing unnamed sources.The business daily said the order is for 31 carriages to be delivered as of 2009, with each carriage costing 4-5 mln eur.The contract also includes an option for a further 170 carriages.There is currently one tram-train line in France, which uses a Siemens model.
