PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Essilor said its US subsidiary has purchased a majority stake in Sutherlin Optical Company in the US, and has acquired the assets of Dispenser Optical Service Corp's safety prescription division, strengthening its network in the region.No further details were given on the size of the Sutherlin stake, or the investment in Dispenser.In its statement, Essilor said Sutherlin Optical has 13 mln usd in revenue and 75 staff, while Dispenser Optical Corp generates 5 mln usd in revenue.vicky.buffery@thomson.comvb/sljCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
