PARIS (Thomson Financial) - The French 2006 budget deficit totaled 39 bln eur in 2006, according to final figures published by the French budget and public accounts ministry.The finance ministry had previously reported a 2006 budget deficit of 36.16 bln eur, down from 43.5 bln a year earlier.In today's publication, the ministry said the new figures included 'a measure of around 3.3 bln designed to adjust the method of accounting used for pensions'.vicky.buffery@thomson.comvb/jsaCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
