MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - India's Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd said it won orders worth over 65 bln rupees from Damodar Valley Corp, via an international competitive bidding process, to install two 1,000-Megawatt power projects in the east Indian states of Jharkhand and West Bengal.State-run BHEL said it will set up two 500-MW units at Koderma Thermal Power Station in Jharkhand and two other 500-MW units at Durgapur Steel TPS in Bengal, on a turnkey basis.In a statement to the National Stock Exchange, the company said these projects have been identified to supply power to the capital New Delhi during the Commonwealth Games in 2010.TFN.newsdesk@thomson.comyos/ran/slmCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
