WASHINGTON (AP) - Comcast Corp., the nation's largest cable TV operator, paid Joseph Group LLC $120,000 in the first half of 2007 to lobby the federal government, according to a disclosure form.The firm lobbied on cable franchise regulations, the digital television transition and other issues, according to the form posted online Wednesday by the Senate's public records office.TV broadcasters must switch from analog to digital signals by February 2009 under a federal mandate.Besides Congress, the firm lobbied the Commerce Department and Federal Communications Commission.Under a federal law enacted in 1995, lobbyists are required to disclose activities that could influence members of the executive and legislative branches.
