WASHINGTON (AP) - Drug developer Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc. spent $660,000 in the first six months of 2007 to lobby the federal government, according to a disclosure form.The company lobbied on several congressional bills related to the access of affordable generic drugs, patent reform and other health care issues, according to the form posted online Monday by the Senate's public records office.The Pomona, N.Y.-based company lobbied Congress, the Health and Human Services Department, Food and Drug Administration, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, White House and Defense Department.Under a federal law enacted in 1995, lobbyists are required to disclose activities that could influence members of the executive and legislative branches.
