Taiwan central bank offers 2.04/2.13/2.23 pct NCDs

TAIPEI (XFN-ASIA) - The central bank said it is offering 30-day negotiable certificates of deposit (NCDs) at a fixed rate of 2.04 pct, 91-day NCDs at 2.13 pct and 182-day NCDs at 2.23 pct today.

The offer rates were raised from 1.98 pct, 2.06 pct, and 2.15 pct previously in the wake of the central bank's decision to raise key interest rates by 12.50-basis points from today.

The discount rate now stands at 3.375 pct. The rate hike was announced yesterday evening.

Bids for the NCDs will be taken up to 10.15 am.
