MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Fitch Ratings said it has affirmed Mutual of America Life Insurance Co's (MOA) insurer financial strength rating (IFSR) at 'AA-' with a stable outlook.Fitch said its ratings reflect MOA's extremely strong capitalization as measured by Prism, Fitch's new economic capital model, the company's below-average exposure to risky assets and MOA's established niche in the small to medium-size not-for-profit group pension market.The ratings agency said its concerns include MOA's statutory profitability longer term and the increased costs associated with staying competitive in the rapidly changing retirement savings market.Mutual of America is a New York city-based mutual life insurance company.TFN.newsdesk@thomson.comndi/manCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
