SUNRAY, Texas (AP) - Employees returned to work Tuesday at a Texas Panhandle refinery that caught fire last week, but it could be several weeks before there is a partial startup at the facility.Valero Energy Corp.'s McKee refinery remained out of service following a blaze Friday that led to more than a dozen people being hospitalized, the company said.Valero said in a statement that it believes the fire started in the propane deasphalting unit, which processes residual fuel at very high temperatures.Tests by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality showed no impact off the site, and the Department of Public Safety has started allowing access to the roadways near the refinery, Valero said. The company said it doesn't have a timeline for operations to resume at the refinery.San Antonio-based Valero, the largest refiner in North America, operates 17 refineries -- 16 in North America and one in Aruba. The McKee refinery is one of six in Texas and has a capacity of 170,000 barrels per day.Sunray, which has population of about 2,000, is about 60 miles north of Amarillo.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
