Kesa Electricals to up current year capex to 140 mln stg

LONDON (AFX) - Kesa Electricals PLC, Europe's third biggest electricals

retailer, plans to ramp-up capital expenditure to 140 mln stg in the year to

end-January 2008 from 111.6 mln stg the previous year, chief executive Jean-Noel

Labroue told AFX News.

Metro FY net jumps 82.2 pct on Wal-Mart, Geant purchases, beats consensus

DUESSELDORF, Germany (AFX) - Metro AG said full-year net profit rose to 913

mln eur from 501 mln, helped by the acquisition of Wal-Mart Stores Inc's German

stores and Geant hypermarkets in Poland and beating an average analyst forecast

of 895.4 mln.
