Roc Oil says Perseverance-1 well penetrated two targets; good gas shows present

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Roc Oil Co Ltd said the Perseverance-1 exploration well in WA-325-P, offshore Perth Basin, has penetrated its two main targets and preliminary data shows good gas indications in sands with moderate reservoir quality.

The well has been drilled to a depth of 1,774 metres, penetrating the Dongara Sandstone and Irwin River Coal measures.

The significance of the gas shows will be determined after logging has been completed, Roc Oil said in a drilling update.
