OSLO (AFX) - Aker Kvaerner ASA said it has won a 26 mln stg power plant order from SembCorp Utilities UK.Under the terms of the deal, Aker Kvaerner's 'Engineering Services' unit will provide the engineering design, construction and commissioning work for SembCorp's planned heat and power project at its Wilton International site in the UK.The new deal, part of a 35 mln stg investment by SembCorp, will see the creation of a power unit capable of generating 40 MW of electricity, Aker Kvaerner said.Work on the project is scheduled to start immediately, and the new plant is expected to be operational by the end of 2008.alastair.reed@thomson.comar/sljCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
