Rheinmetall posts lower FY EBIT due to higher raw materials prices |

DUESSELDORF (AFX) - Rheinmetall AG said full-year sales rose 5 pct to 3.629 bln eur in 2006, although EBIT fell 4 pct to 215 mln eur on the back of higher raw materials prices.It forecast earnings in 2007 and 2008 would improve but it was not clear whether the company was referring to its performance at the operating or the net level.It said it will propose a 2006 dividend hike to 1.00 eur/shr from 0.90 eur/shr.Incoming orders in 2006 declined to 3.6 bln eur from 3.9 bln in the previous year, it added.patrizia.kokot@thomson.compk/mog/sljCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
