COPENHAGEN (AFX) - Shares were higher in midmorning, led by Vestas Wind Systems after the group's target price was raised at Citigroup and Dresdner Kleinwort, dealers said.

At 10.30 am, the OMXC20 index was up 1.40 points at 457.92, and the OMXCB Benchmark index gained 1.63 points to 436.43.

Vestas Wind Systems was up 4.00 dkr at 299.00 after Citigroup and Dresdner Kleinwort raised their target prices for the group.

Citigroup raised its target price for Vestas to 305 dkr from 230 dkr and reiterated its 'hold' rating for the group.

The bank said Vestas' 2006 results and guidance for 2007, which were presented yesterday, were in line with expectations.

'Vestas is the market leader in a high-growth segment, and as such is benefiting from strong top-line growth. High energy costs, environmental concerns and energy security issues mean we expect this growth to continue for both the market and specifically Vestas,' Citigroup said.

Dresdner Kleinwort raised its target price for Vestas to 330 dkr from 230 dkr and reiterated its 'buy' rating.

Danisco was up 4.50 dkr at 447.00, following yesterday's downturn after the group presented weaker-than-expected nine-months figures, dealers said.

AP Moller Maersk gained 300 dkr to 57,200. According to daily Borsen, the group fears oil production in the North Sea will fall if the Danish government's proposal of CO2-quota allocation goes through.

Among other shares, Carlsberg added 5.00 dkr to 595.00, Neurosearch gained 4.00 dkr to 266.50, Lundbeck shed 1.25 dkr to 161.25 and East Asiatic Co was down 0.50 dkr to 253.00.
