BPI to propose long-term dividend policy at April 19 AGM - report

LISBON (AFX) - Banco BPI's board will propose to shareholders in the next April 19 AGM a long-term dividend policy, Jornal de Negocios reported.

The bank said that the measure is not a defence move against Banco Comercial Portugues' 5.70 eur per share bid, but will allow shareholders to compare dividends with BCP's bid, the paper added.

At 11.05 am, BPI shares were up 0.07 eur or 1.15 pct at 6.16 eur.
