Uniqa buys majority stake in Bulgarian insurance company Vitosha |

VIENNA (AFX) - Uniqa Insurance said today it will increase its share capital in Vitosha by a further 31 pct in the next few days giving it a majority 51 pct stake in Bulgaria's sixth largest insurance company.Approval has already been granted by the Bulgarian authorities for the share transfer and Vitosha will be incorporated into the Uniqa brand, the Austrian company said in a statement.According to preliminary figures, Vitosha 2006 revenue is expected to reach 42 mln eur, an increase of 28.6 pct on the year and compared with an average increase of 16.2 pct in the Bulgarian insurance market.fiona.flanagan@thomson.comff/jlcCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
