Citi Trends files for stock offer

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Clothing and accessories retailer Citi Trends Inc. said Wednesday it will file a shelf registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the sale of 3 million shares.

The registration would allow sale, from time to time, of the shares by selling stockholders, Hampshire Equity Partners II and its affiliates.

Shares of Citi Trends rose 17 cents to $43.60 in morning trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
