NEW YORK (AP) - Imax Corp. said Wednesday it has an agreement with Daqing Science and Technology Association to install one of its large format theaters in the group's new museum in northeast China.The theater in the Daqing Science and Technology Museum is scheduled to open in early 2008, in time for the Chinese New Year in February, Imax said.Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.The museum -- expected to open in 2008 -- will be located outside of Harbin, the capital city of Heilongjiang Province. Besides the Imax theater, it also feature a digital planetarium, an exhibition area and education facilities.There are currently 11 Imax theaters open in China and the total number scheduled to open by the end of 2009 is now 28, the Toronto-based theater company said.Imax shares rose 9 cents to $5.35 in morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange.Copyright 2007 Associated Press.
