HSBC appoints new COO for HSBC Finance unit, new CEO for Middle East ops

LONDON (AFX) - HSBC Holdings PLC said today that it has appointed Niall Booker as the new chief operating officer of HSBC Finance Corporation, its beleaguered US operation.

Booker will report to HSBC Finance's new chief executive Brendan McDonagh, who was appointed in February.

Youssef Nasr will succeed Booker as chief executive of HSBC's Middle East operation, HSBC Middle East.
