Jenoptik's ESW unit wins 13 mln eur order to upgrade Swiss army battle tanks

JENA, Germany (Thomson Financial) - Jenoptik AG said its unit ESW unit won a 13 mln eur order from Switzerland's RUAG AG to upgrade 148 Swiss army battle tanks.

The Pz87 Leo tanks will be upgraded with digital, electro-magnetic weapon stabilization systems, it added.

The contract also covers the equipment for training, logistics and replacement parts and will end in 2011, it said.
