MUENCHEN (Thomson Financial) - Siemens AG's business in Indonesia is being probed by local authorities for alleged irregularities, with one of the company's employees due to stand trial in connnection with the award of a hospital contract in 2003, a Siemens spokesman said.The comments confirmed a Sueddeutsche Zeitung article.Tendering for the project, for which several companies had applied, was suddenly stopped, with Siemens remaining as the exclusive negotiating partner.Authorities are now investigating whether the prices charged by Siemens were too high, the paper said.christoph.steitz@thomson.comcs1/jmsCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
