Drillisch lifts Freenet stake to 28.56 pct from 10.08

FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - Drillisch AG said it is raising its stake in Freenet AG to 28.56 pct from 10.08 pct by buying 17,757,000 shares from Vatas International BV via a subsidiary.

In March, Drillisch had urged Freenet to sell off its landline operations and yesterday, Freenet CEO Eckhard Spoerr said he could not rule out a break-up, saying talks with potential buyers showed they were not interested in Freenet as a whole but only in its parts.
