SYDNEY (Thomson Financial) - Australia's Babcock & Brown Wind Partners (BBWP) said Monday it will acquire 10 wind farms in Germany with a total installed capacity of 90 megawatts of capacity under an expanded framework agreement with Spain's Gamesa Energia SA.BBPW had already agreed to acquire from Gamesa a portfolio of wind farms under development in Spain, with a total installed capacity of 450 megawatts.It said the framework agreement now covers up to 490 megawatts of wind energy projects scheduled to be available throughout 2007 to 2009, with 400 megawatts located in Spain and the remaining 90 megawatts located in GermanyBBW chief executive Miles George said the expanded framework agreement with Gamesa is a key component of BBW's identified pipeline of over 3000 megawatts of expected wind farm acquisitions.bruce.hextall@thomson.com-bhx/ngCOPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
