TAIPEI (XFN-ASIA) - Acer Inc (2353.TW) and AU Optronics Corp (2409.TW) have yet to receive any notice of a patent infringement lawsuit reportedly filed by against them by US-based Honeywell International Inc, the two companies said in separate filings to the stock exchange.The companies were responding to an Apple Daily report that named them as among the targets for a Honeywell suit over infringement of patented technology for making thin-film-transistor liquid crystal display panels.BenQ Corp (2352.TW) and Chunghwa Picture Tubes Ltd (2475.TW) made similar filings to the stock exchange as they were also named by the Apple Daily as being targeted by Honeywell.In today's trade, Acer closed up 1.00 twd at 66.00, AU Optronics was down 0.30 at 48.00, BenQ was down 0.35 at 13.00 and Chunghwa Picture was up 0.14 at 6.42.(1 usd = 33.0 twd)philip.wang@afxasia.compw/km
