Pfizer says US appeals court reverses earlier ruling upholding Norvasc patent

LONDON (AFX) - Pharmaceutical group Pfizer Inc said a US appeals court has reversed a lower ruling that upheld the company's US patent covering amlodipine besylate, the active ingredient in the popular high blood pressure medication Norvasc.

Pfizer said it is reviewing the decision and is considering all its options, including seeking a reconsideration.
