BRUSSELS (Thomson Financial) - The European Commission said the deadline for its inquiry into Morgan Stanley Real Estate's proposed 770 mln usd acquisition for joint control of nine Hilton Hotels Corporation hotels is set for July 11.The acquisition will be examined under the EU's simplified merger review procedure for cases which the commission believes do not pose competition concerns.Morgan Stanley and Hilton will acquire joint control of the 9 European hotels.After the sale, Hilton's wholly owned subsidiaries will manage the hotels' operations and they will continue to be operated under the Hilton brand.nina.chestney@thomson.comnc/bsdCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
