MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Parmalat SpA said that the US Federal Bankruptcy Court in New York has ruled in favour of the food firm's request for permanent bankruptcy protection, rejecting objections made by Bank of America and other parties.Parmalat filed for bankruptcy protection in the New York court in 2004 after the group collapsed end-2003, submerged by about 14 bln eur of debt.danilo.masoni@thomson.comdm/lceCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
