HORSHAM, Pa. (AFX) - Hall of Fame football coach Don Shula has signed on as the spokesman for a new weight-loss program for people age 60 and older.NutriSystem on Monday announced that Shula, 77, will represent its NutriSystem Silver program, which the company said is lower in sodium, sugar, fat, saturated fat and cholesterol than its NutriSystem Nourish program.The program also features more protein and 'heart healthy' fats, along with vitamin supplements. It also has eliminated foods with nuts and seeds that can damage teeth and dentures in older people, NutriSystem said.The company said Shula and his wife, Mary Anne, 61, both have lost weight on the new program.Shula, a former coach for the National Football League, is best known for his coaching of the Miami Dolphins, which he led to two Super Bowl wins.Copyright 2006 Associated Press.
