Richemont confirms outlook, sees Lancet breaking even in 2007 |

ZURICH (AFX) - Compagnie Financiere Richemont reiterated its guidance of achieving an 'overall significantly better' result in the current financial year than in the previous year, after reporting third-quarter sales results earlier today.The Swiss luxury goods maker continues to be confident that it will achieve break-even at its troubled unit Lancel in 2007.However, the group's spokesman declined to indicate when Richemont expects a turnaround for Dunhill.Richemont said the weakening of both the dollar and the yen had weighed on the third quarter, but said gold prices have had little impact.The spokesman added that Richemont had not been hit significantly by China's newly introduced luxury goods tax.'The market continues to grow rapidly,' he said.afx.zurich@afxnews.comjmt/harCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2006.
