GDF signs 4-year deal with Norsk Hydro to receive gas in UK |

PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Gaz de France announced a four-year agreement with Norsk Hydro under which the Norwegian group will supply GDF with 800 mln cubic metres of gas per year in the UK.GDF did not indicate the financial terms of the agreement.The French utility said the deal will support the expansion of its Gaz de France ESS unit, which it claims controls around 15 pct of the UK market for supplying gas to industrial and tertiary customers.GDF also stated that Norsk Hydro is its second-largest supplier of natural gas, accounting for 21 pct of its gas supplies.tfn.paris@thomson.comgt/jagCOPYRIGHTCopyright AFX News Limited 2007.
