UK Small Cap opening - Oilex up; potential oil zones at West Kampar well

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Shares in Oilex Ltd moved higher early on, up 4-1/2 pence at 77-1/2, after the company said drilling at the Indonesian West Kampar Pendalian-3 well has indicated potential oil zones.

Oilex has a 45 pct participating interest in the West Kampar production sharing contract, while Sumatera Persada Energy holds the remaining 55 pct stake.
