PARIS (Thomson Financial) - French investment bank Natixis has brought forward the publication of its third-quarter results by four days, a spokeswoman for the bank said. The decision to report its third-quarter results on Sunday, rather than on Nov 29 as originally planned, was made 'to give investors the information as soon as possible', the spokeswoman said.Natixis' controlling shareholders announced yesterday a 1.5 bln usd bailout of Natixis subsidiary CIFG, a specialist insurance group hard-hit by the subprime mortgage-led credit crisis. The bailout will see Groupe Banque Populaire and Groupe Caisse d'Epargne, which each own around 34 pct of Natixis' shares, buy CIFG from Natixis and then inject 1.5 bln usd into the business to help it keep its AAA rating, which had been threatened by the worsening outlook for subprime debt losses.greg.keller@thomson.comgk1/ms1COPYRIGHTCopyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
